Overview
Chipboard is made by glueing wood particles together under heat and pressure. This creates a rigid board with a relatively smooth surface. Chipboard is available in normal and high-density, and is only suitable for internal use as it tends to soak up water which causes it to swell and break down. Veneered chipboard is widely used in flat-pack furniture and work surfaces.
